PAIN OFF TABLETS COMPOSITION: Each tablet contains: Diclofenac Sodium (as enteric coated granules) B.P. 50mg Paracetamol B.P 325mg Chlorpheniramine Maleate B.P 4mg Magnesium Trisilicate B.P 100mg Excipients q.s Approved color used. INDICATIONS: PAIN OFF tablets have mainly analgesic, anti-inflammatory and allergic actions. PAIN OFF tablets are therefore used to moderate pain, such as in headache, body ache, toothache gout and fever. DOSAGE: Adults and children over 14 years. One tablet twice or three times a day with or after meals or as directed by the physician. PRECAUTIONS: Diclofenac may cause increased blood concentrations of digoxin and lithium. Paracetamol should be given with care in patients with impaired kidney or liver function, in alcoholism and in patients taking drugs that affect the liver. Its absorption may be accelerated by Metoclopramide. Excretion may be affected and plasma concentrations altered when administered with Probenecid. Chlorpheniramine Maleate has significant antimuscarinic activity and should therefore be used with caution in prostatic hypertrophy urinary retention, glaucoma and pyloroduodenal obstruction. It should be used with caution in hepatic disease and dose reduction may be necessary in renal impairment. WARNING: Drowsiness may affect performance of skilled tasks e.g. driving. ADVERSE EFFECTS: Diclofenac causes gastrointestinal disturbances, oedema, skin reactions, purities, dizziness, malaise, jaundice and bleeding tendencies. Paracetamol causes liver damage in prolonged use or over dosage. Chlorpheniramine Maleate causes drowsiness, psychomotor impairments, dry mouth, gastrointestinal disturbances, blurred vision, allergic reactions, muscle weakness, tachycardia and paradoxical CNS stimulation mostly in children. Magnesium salts may cause diarrhea. In renal impairment, hypermagnesemia may occur. Magnesium may interfere with absorption of other drugs. PRESENTATION: 1 blister of 10 Tablets. STORAGE: Store in a dry place at temperature not exceeding 30ºC. Protect from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
