Functions and indications:
This product is a second-line drug for urethritis, prostatitis, cervicitis and rectal infection caused by neisseria gonorrhoeae, mainly used for infection caused by drug-resistant strains of penicillin and tetracycline.
Since most patients with gonorrhea are infected with chlamydia trachomatis, this drug should be followed by a 7-day course of tetracycline or doxycycline or erythromycin.
Usage and dosage:
Intramuscular injection only.
adult
1. For the infection of cervix, rectum or urethral gonorrhea with neisseria gonorrhoeae, a single dose of 2g intramuscular injection;
2. For disseminated gonorrhea, intramuscular injection 2g once, 1 time every 12 hours, 3 days in total.
A maximum dose of 4g was injected into the left and right buttocks intramuscularly.
children
Children and newborns are forbidden.
Before use, add 0.9% benzyl alcohol injection 3.2ml per 2g, shake it to form suspension.
1. For children whose weight is less than 45kg, a single intramuscular injection of 40mg/kg should be given according to their body weight;
2. For patients over 45kg, single dose of 2g intramuscular injection is required.
Adverse reactions:
Occasional injection site pain, transient dizziness, nausea, vomiting and insomnia in some patients;
Fever, rash and other allergic reactions, decreased hemoglobin, hematocrit, decreased creatinine clearance, and alkaline phosphatase, urea nitrogen and serum amino transferase increased.
There have also been cases of decreased urine output.
Forbidden:
This product and aminoglycoside antibiotics allergy history and kidney disease patients are contraindicated.
Notes:
1. This product shall not be administered intravenously.
Deep muscle injection should be performed above and outside the buttock muscle, with a single injection volume of no more than 2g (5ml) at the injection site.
2. This product has no cross allergy with penicillin.
3. In case of adverse reactions, patients with severe allergic reactions can be given epinephrine, corticosteroids and/or antihistamines to keep airway unobstructed and give oxygen, etc.

1. As the diluent of this product contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which may cause neonatal fatal wheezing syndrome, it is forbidden for newborn.
2. Children with gonorrhea who are allergic to penicillin or cephalin can use this product.
Drug interactions:
According to the literature, this product combined with lithium carbonate can cause toxicity in individual patients.
Pharmacological action:
This product is an aminoglycoside antibiotic produced by Streptomycesspectabilis.
It has high antibacterial activity against neisseria gonorrhoeae, and also has good antibacterial activity against neisseria gonorrhoeae producing b lactamase.
Moderate antimicrobial activity against many enterobacteriaceae bacteria.
Profeldenia and pseudomonas aeruginosa are usually resistant to the drug.
The strains resistant to this drug are always sensitive to streptomycin, gentamycin and tobramycin.
This product has good effect on mycoplasma urealyticum, but has no activity on chlamydia trachomatis and treponema pallidum.
The action mechanism of this product is to bind to bacterial ribosome 30S subunit and inhibit the synthesis of bacterial protein.
